Gluten free beer on the high street

We checked the gluten free beer shelf at all eight major UK supermarkets in June 2026. Here is what each one actually stocks, what it costs, and whether it is worth your trip.

Two things hold across nearly all of them. The range is thin, and almost every gluten free beer on a British supermarket shelf is gluten removed from barley, not naturally gluten free. For most people that is fine. For coeliacs it is the whole question, and we explain why in our guide to naturally gluten free versus gluten removed.
