Daft Days Porter is a 6.5% ABV inky-black, full-bodied ale with mid-level bitterness and a rich, malty finish. Two traditional British ale hops are featured: Bramling Cross, which provides blackcurrant and spicy character, and Phoenix, which contributes chocolate flavours and aromas. The malt is highlighted as the star component of this beer. The porter takes its inspiration from Robert Fergusson’s poem celebrating festive merriment and celebration.
