The Founder
Simon spent years chasing down great beers — exploring craft breweries, trying new styles, and enjoying the simple pleasure of a pint with friends.
Then, at 34, everything changed. A coeliac diagnosis meant giving up the beers he loved overnight. Like many, he found himself lost in a confusing, often disappointing world of gluten-free options. And, like many, he missed beer. Proper beer.
But Simon also refused to believe it had to be that way.
Frustrated by how hard it was to find good gluten-free beers in the UK, he created Free From Beer — not as a brewery, not as a shop, but as a resource. A place where people like him could quickly and easily find the best gluten-free beers available in the UK market, all in one place.
Simon’s mission is simple: no one should have to give up on beer just because they’ve given up gluten.
And thanks to a new generation of brewers, they don’t have to.
