The Story

A West Sussex brewery in Pulborough, brewing organic beer since 2000. Its Blonde Lager is made gluten free without an added enzyme, using low-protein barley and a slow, cold maturation that lets the gluten settle out. No ppm figure is published.

GF approach: Brewed without an added enzyme. Hepworth selects low-protein Sussex barley, malts it traditionally, boils the wort hot, then matures the beer slow and cold so the gluten settles out before filtering and bottling. The brewery markets the result as naturally gluten free. No ppm figure or independent certification is published, and the barley malt remains in the grain bill.
