A wheat beer with buckwheat in the name, which tends to imply naturally gluten free. It isn't. Mongozo Buckwheat White contains barley malt, with the gluten removed at two separate stages and independently tested by Nutrilab to below 3ppm per batch. The name misleads, but the labelling is accurate and the evidence is solid.
Aroma
Herby, fruity and slightly acidic.
Taste
A mild hop flavour and a smooth, rounded aftertaste that is slightly acidic. Brewed with buckwheat, malt, rice, hops, orange peel and herbs including coriander.
